Joseph Ara Zovickian specializes in carving marble and limestone from life. His portraits are held in private collections in the US, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.

Joe has carved statuary and ornament for Carnegie Hall, the Frick Collection, Columbia University, the DuPont Estate, and the Catholic Church. He worked as a cathedral stonemason in Manhattan and as the lead stone-carver at Monumental Labs.

Joe received his BA in Philosophy from UCLA, and his MFA in Sculpture and Figurative Anatomy from the New York Academy of Art. He works in New York City and Carrara, Italy.
